Dr. Yoshiki Morikami, M.D., Ph.D. – Director

A hands-on physician and healthcare strategy specialist with deep expertise in both the frontline and institutional aspects of home and community-based healthcare. In response to Japan’s rapidly aging society, I support the development of optimized local medical and long-term care systems. Through collaboration with governmental bodies, healthcare institutions, and private companies, I promote the nationwide implementation of sustainable healthcare models.

Graduated from Rokko Gakuin High School. After earning a teaching license from the Faculty of Education at Hiroshima University, I obtained my medical degree from Kanazawa Medical University, where I served as captain of the soccer team. Graduated in 2008.

I gained clinical experience at Kyoto University Hospital, and subsequently worked in both public and private hospitals. In 2017, I established Yoshiki Home Visit Clinic in Nishikyo Ward, Kyoto. Since then, I have led efforts to build a 24/7 home healthcare system and developed numerous advanced case models of integrated community care.

In 2021, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, I proposed the formation of a multidisciplinary, wide-area collaborative home medical support team, driving the establishment of a flexible and integrated medical support system for both emergency and routine care under an extralegal framework. Later appointed as Chairman of a Regional Healthcare Collaboration Promotion Corporation, I have led the nationwide implementation of practical models of public-private and medical-care coordination, drawing attention from various media outlets.
